This was the first track written for this album and was inspired by the elegiac vibe of Mike Flanagan's "The Haunting of Hill House".
I wanted to create something with that kind of haunted nature, so I wrote a country tune about a ghost who can't let go.
But, being a country song, (and me being me) it's also a murder ballad.
