Immediately after the release of this album in 1971, Rowan was dropped by her record label amist a rash of lawsuits pertaining to magic spells gone wrong. She was declared a danger to herself by her fundamentalist parents and was incarcerated for her own protection. Her two year-old son Jesse, was taken from her and would be raised in religious tyranny until his own rebellious music career began in the 1990s.
Rowan remains a ward of the Mississippi State Hospital for the Socially Deviant.
